The Heart and Stroke Foundation is looking for volunteers to fill different positions. They need someone for office work, primarily data entry. They also need, someone to recruit volunteers over the phone to help in the door-to-door campaign during February.
The Pat Roberts Centre. Is part of The West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped. They need volunteers to help afternoons and/or mornings, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. If you enjoy working with children (2 – 5 yrs old) they need you.
Volunteer Assisted Services need volunteer drivers that will accompany clients to medical appointments. Parking permits will be issued to each driver and they will be compensated for operating expenses.
The Canadian Cancer Society is in need of 10 volunteers to be part of the Organizing Committee for their West Island Relay for Life. This is a unique community event that aims to recognize people who have been touched by cancer and those that lost their battle. The positions are V.P. Teams, V.P. survivors, V.P. Fundraisers and V.P. Luminaries and volunteers for the sub-committees.
Whiteside Taylor Pre-School. Needs a volunteer to shadow a 2 years old boy, helping him develop his social skills and integrate into the class. Twice a week, Monday and Tuesdays from 9am to 11:30am.
