Grow-op busted
The Sûreté du Québec, with the collaboration of Montreal police, busted a grow-operation last Thursday at a house on Beaurepaire Drive in Beaconsfield. The bust happened between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and police seized a few hundred marijuana plants.
Arson squad investigating

The arson squad is currently investigating a house fire that occurred on Sunday in Beaconsfield. The fire department was called to the Westcroft Street address at about 1:30 a.m. and later informed police the fire was started deliberately.

Death threats

Police are looking for two suspects who made threatening gestures to bouncers on a routine security check at a bar on Pierrefonds Boulevard in Pierrefonds/Roxboro Saturday at about 1 a.m. The suspects first brought their fingers together to form the shape of a gun. One of them then pretended to reach for an actual gun in his jacket. They escaped when bartenders called police. Both suspects are black. One weighs about 155 pounds, and stands five feet and eight inches tall. He was wearing a tuque, a green jacket and white gloves. The other suspect weighs around 220 pounds, and is six feet and two inches tall.
