Lions split first two games: but win game three
West Island team in Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League playoffs
The Lac St. Louis Lions split two home games against the Patriotes de Châteauguay last weekend in the second round of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League playoffs but won game three on Wednesday to take a 2-1 lead in the series.



After being shut-out by the Patriotes 2-0 in Saturday's contest, the Lions rebounded on Sunday and won 7-2, notching six unanswered goals in the third period. Mathieu Gingras led the comeback with a hat trick and two assists.



On Wednesday, the Lions won game three 6-0 in Châteauguay.Louis Boileau-Domingue recorded the shutout and made 24 saves. Kyle Armstrong with two markers, Yasin Cissé, Alexander Stephenson, Ryan Collier and Mathieu Gingras scored for the Lions.The Patriotes gave up five powerplay goals on seven chances.



The Lions can wrap up the best-of-five series Friday night in Châteauguay.



Game five, if necessary, is set for Sunday night at the Dollard Civic Centre.
