Burning issue
Jean-Charles Cardinal (left) says a major expansion of his family-run funeral home on Lakeshore Drive in Dorval must include a crematorium since about 70 per cent of their clients request the service.
J. J. Cardinal Funeral Home is marking its 50th year in business.
The city granted the building permit for the expansion last fall.
A number of citizens are upset a crematorium is being set up in Dorval Village.
City officials said they could not block a crematorium being built, since it is part of the zoning permitted for a funeral home.
