A ‘deer’ issue

Firstly, thanks very much for the May 14 The Chronicle article on the

l’ Anse a L’Orme land situation.

The more exposure this critically important issue obtains, the greater the chances that citizens will become involved in protecting the last section of wilderness left on the Island.

I am an avid wildlife photographer and have accumulated a modest portfolio of white tailed deer shot from the area in question.

Attached is my latest find. Look carefully at the front deer. It’s a buck (male deer) with its doe behind. I captured the moment just this last Sunday morning around 8 a.m., just east of the

Morgan Arboretum.
