West Island Citizen Advocacy is a Centraide/WICS community organization which matches volunteer citizen advocates with people experiencing a handicapping condition or with seniors.
An eighty-five year old woman living in Pointe-Claire, would enjoy having someone to bring her grocery shopping and to the pharmacy. She is hard of hearing, but enjoys reading and playing games on the computer. Having someone to spend time with her every couple of weeks or so would be great since she feels quite isolated. An eighty-eight year old woman in Pointe-Claire would really enjoy having someone who could be her friend and confident as well as assist her with her grocery shopping.
