Chronicle/Monitor political cartoonist Stan Roach is showing some of his sculptures at a Montreal exhibition dubbed 1001 Visages.
Roach, who teaches design and illustration at Dawson College, is showing some sculptures of well-known characters, including his take on the Three Stooges.
Roach has won several awards for his weekly Chronicle cartoons, at Quebec Community Newspapers Association, the Canadian Community Newspapers Association as well as the prestigious Duncan McPherson award in 1999.
Stan's pieces are part of the humour-themed section of the exhibition being held at the Maison de la Culture Frontenac, 2550 Ontario St. E. (metro Frontenac) in Montreal. It runs until Oct. 12. The gallery is open Tuesdqy and Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, call 514-872-7882 or check
