Scholefield earns Athlete of the Week honours

Scholefield, a 5-foot-seven midfielder on the men’s soccer Redmen tallied the winning goals in both of McGill’s games on Oct. 4 and 5, helping the Redmen extend their undefeated streak to 5-0-2. The 24-year-old international business senior scored in a 1-0 win at Laval and notched the key marker in a 2-0 victory over UQTR. Scholefield was a co-winner of the outstanding male athlete award at John Abbott College in 2004 along with Tom Kuchiran of the football team. He was named a Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) second-team all-Canadian in 2006. Scholefield developed much of his playing skills by working his way through the AAA Lac St. Louis Lakers’ system.
