Justice carries a grocery bag

An attempted robbery was foiled Monday, Nov. 10 at about 10:20 p.m. in a Dollard des Ormeaux depanneur's parking lot when a would-be thief approached a 34-year old woman and clearly got more than he bargained for.

He asked for her wallet, but instead wound up trying to fend off a series of kicks and grocery bag attacks before he managed to escape.

The woman bumped into him again sometime the next morning and forced him once more to flee, police said.

"It worked out well for the woman," Chantale Morneau, media relations officer for Station 4, said, "but that's not to say we encourage this type of behaviour. What if the man had been armed?"
