Policy perils
Re: ‘Public input sought by school board,’ The Chronicle, Jan. 21.
I think the Lester B. Pearson School Board’s inclusion policy should be removed. My son is at a LBPSB school and his grades are declining. Besides the fact that there are too many students in one class, I find it illogical to place children with delayed learning and special needs at the same level as children without. I am seeing my bright child slip and feel dejected and losing interest in school. My son is paying the price for a policy that has no place in a regular elementary school. There are specialized schools for these children that would benefit them more and cater to their particular needs. Is there a petition I can sign somewhere?
