Building project for the birds
Le Nichoir, marking its 15th anniversary, held an auction in Pointe Claire recently to raise funds and announce plans for its new centre represented in these drawings on display. The plan is to build a new facility on the Clarke-Sydenham Nature Reserve, where the wild bird rehabilitation group is currently located in Hudson. The new centre, which will feature a reception area, intensive care and research units, several aviaries and a large classroom to accommodate youth groups and visitors, will cost an estimated $1.2 million.
