PC Director of Public Works department honoured
The City of Pointe-Claire is pleased to inform you that Daniel McDuff, Director of the Public Works department was presented on May 28th with the 2009 Trophy Prix Viabilité hivernale awarded by l’Association québécoise du transport. In fact since 1997, thanks to the use of ecological products, the department has reduced its yearly use of manpower and equipment by approximately 30 % and also reduced its use of sodium chloride by 22 % - from 7,000 tons to 5,500 tons of salt consumed per year. In addition, since 2007, the Public Works department has limited its use of salt to 4,700 tons per year. Congratulations to Daniel McDuff and his team.
