If Koivu's really out of the Habs' future, will Mike Komisarek be the new captain?

Why can't I help thinking of how Koivu's departure from this team will effect the 7th and 8th floors of the Montreal Childrens let alone the ice-level of the Bell Centre?

Was I stunned when Bob Gainey discreetly noted that offers to Komisarek and Kovalev meant no pre-July 1 deal swing Saku's way? There had been warning signs but hear it coming from Mr. Gainey just an hour or so after Hockey Canada named Jean Beliveau an honourary captain for the Olympic Hockey team...it reminds us leadership and character are always in short supply.

If you go on my first impression of Guy Boucher there is no doubt he'll be a head coach in the NHL some day. He agrees with Trevor Timmins that Gabriel Dumont who he coached in Drummondville will make it to the NHL some way, too. Not to rush a rookie coach in the pros but I won't be surprised to see Boucher make it before the Habs' 5th Rd Draft pick over the weekend.

If Gainey's talking about a deal that could re-open a spot on the roster for Koivu, does that mean Plekanec is being dangled out there? I hope not because Plek is going to have as big a bounce-back season as Komisarek and Carey Price.

Are the Als making a big mistake expecting Shea Emry to the Monster in the Middle of the Als D? No because in their scheme he doesn't have to be a monster. He'll be the first Canadian starter at that position since Glen Young if my memory serves, and Young ended a full season as a high-priced free agent without a single Sack! I do love the fact Emry bristled and burned with anger when asked about starting the season in Calgary. I want my middle-linebackers snarly and nasty.

Anybody suspicious about this doctor who was sleeping at Michael Jackson's house before the weirdo pop icon's untimely death? I mean...the doctor was older than 12, so was it really on MJ's invite? And has Bubbles been accounted for?
