Short-story contest launched
Robertson Books in Beaconsfield has launched its first annual Short Story Contest, a competition for anybody aged six and up who loves to write.

All entrants receive a prize and winning submissions, selected from the five age categories, will bring home awards.

The group of judges will include Beaconsfield Mayor Bob Benedetti and Chronicle reporter Andy Blatchford.

Owner Adam Robertson plans to have the stories published in a book, which will be sold at the Elm Avenue shop. All profits will be donated to a local charity.

The fiction-only stories must be original and between two and six pages double spaced. Age groups are: 6-8, 9-11, 12-15, 16-21 and adult.

The deadline for entries is Nov. 11.

For more information, call 514-695-5256 or visit the store at 275 Elm Ave., Beaconsfield.
