Over-35 women’s team golden
The Lac St. Louis Lakers boys’ under-18 Blue side may have recently become the seventh Lakers team to ever win gold at a Canadian club championship, but not to be forgotten was the fact the Eurocan Dorval Outremont United over-35 women’s squad also recently returned home with a national club title. United went undefeated over three days of round-robin play during the over-35 National Classics Championship tournament which took place in Edmonton Oct. 5-9. It defeated British Columbia 1-0 in the final on Thanksgiving Day.

It was the second consecutive national championship for United, a talented squad whose roster featured many of the finest women senior soccer players in Quebec and Canada. Last year, it defeated Alberta 2-1 in the final in Burnaby, B.C.
