West Islanders have a chance to be honoured in the 10th annual provincial volunteer awards. Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity Michelle Courchesne invites all Quebecers to nominate potential recipients.
Nominees must be at least 14 years old and residents of the province. Prizes will be awarded in three different categories: The Young Volunteer Award, Volunteer in Action and Organization in Action.

A gala in Quebec City will be held in the spring for all the recipients. The government will cover travel and accommodation costs.
