With a comeback victory in their first game yesterday, the Lac St. Louis ringette team put together a big win over an area rival in Quebec Games action in l'Assomption and are eagerly awaiting their chance to play in the medal round. In preliminary competition, the LSL squad beat Rive-Sud 6-3 in a dramatic affair decided by penalty shootouts Wednesday morning. Lac St. Louis fell behind 2-0, but a goal by Pascal Flookes and two by Stephanie Clarke in the second period brought LSL back to a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation - forcing a shootout. Brianna Miller and Clarke both scored in shootouts and gave Lac St. Louis the victory. At press time, results from a game with Lanaudiere were unavailable.
Fortin helps with silver-medal performance

Pierrefonds resident Melissa Fortin was part of the Lac St. Louis team that won silver in girls' bowling at the Jeux du Quebec in l'Assomption, while fellow Pierrefonds resident Matthew Fortin was part of the LSL team that came in 13th on the boys' side Wednesday.
