Part of proceeds to benefit foundation; help athletes pay for hockey

BJP Foundation was founded by Teri-Anne Feilders last year to honour her late son, Benjamin Joseph Pelletier.
With the first day of classes in the rear-view mirror, the time has come for which the mountain of school supplies must be labelled. This year, however, the annual task has taken on more significance.
The Benjamin Joseph Pelletier Foundation and Take it Personally Graphics have teamed up for the 'Back to School Labels and Bag I.D Tags Fundraiser.'
"The summer is coming to an end," said Teri-Anne Feilders, founder of the Benjamin Joseph Pelletier Foundation. "We have moms and dads running around trying to get kids organized to go back to school. What better time to get a fundraiser going, get your kids to school and help out others in the West Island?"
With the purchase of labels, a portion of proceeds generated will be directed to the foundation; in turn, Feilders, in honour of her late son Benjamin, will help underprivileged athletes pay for organized hockey programs.
"Right now we're geared towards hockey because it's the most expensive sport. There's a lot of money involved in the game. And, it was my son's favourite game," said the Pierrefonds resident.
Benjamin was a six-year-old hockey player and an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens before his sudden passing on Mother's Day, last year.
Feilders enlisted close friend Laurie Hartland, owner of Take it Personally Graphics, to help design the school tags for the fundraiser.
"We got to it a little bit late, but I've more or less dropped everything and tried to put the promotion in place. The orders have come in," said Hartland, who's been in the graphic design business for a decade.
Thus far, the designer has between 20 to 30 orders, but could see a lot more in the coming weeks. No timeline has yet been set for the fundraiser.
