Dorval, May 10, 2012 - The 9th annual Women’s Links golf tournament will be held on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Braeside Golf Club in Senneville. Women’s Links is a non-profit organization that has been raising funds for women and children in the West Island since 2004. They have donated over $110,000 to organizations such as AMCAL Family Services, West Island Mission, CALACS West Island, Cloverdale Multi-Resources, Pierrefonds Community Project, Bread Basket Lac St-Louis and the Women’s Links Education Fund, which provides bursaries to single mothers in need who are going back to school.

“The Women’s Links golf tournament is a fantastic example of people coming together to help the West Island community.  The recurrence of the financial support AMCAL receives allows us to maintain as well as expand our programs each year.  We are extremely appreciative of the donation, and thank the organizers, the golfers and the sponsors” said Heather Holmes, Executive Director of AMCAL.

A few tickets are still available for $175 per golfer and includes a gourmet lunch, 9 holes of golf and a wine and cheese cocktail. Participants in this women’s only tournament will experience a day of fun while they network with other businesswomen in their community. With a shotgun start at 1 pm, the ladies will be regaled with all the fun activities on the golf course such as Jack Astor’s Dorval, who will be providing food, drinks and entertainment on a hole.  Our event sponsors include McKesson, Website Girl, Marshall Equipment Ltd, RBC Royal Bank, TD Waterhouse, CLD West Island and BDC.

“Whether you are just learning golf or have been doing it for years, this event is for you!  It’s all about having fun, forging relationships and giving back to the community we love so much” said President Rania Cotran.
