Humor Toastmaster Style
So, you think you're funny? How would your humor translate to an audience if you had 5-7 minutes to lay it down?
These are questions that will be answered on Oct. 22 at the Pointe-Claire Curling Club, as the Pointe-Claire Toastmasters group will host the annual humorous speech and evaluation contest.
On this evening, five clubs that comprise the 5 West Island "Area 50" Toastmasters clubs, will send their best funny guy or gal to compete in the contest that will determine who will go ahead and compete in the "division 61" contest. Division 61 is a large area comprising of Quebec, South Eastern Ontario, and Northern New York State.
This event is great fun for all and for $5 you get the funny, the food, and the famous Toastmaster hospitality. Those of you who ever wondered what it would be like to learn how to speak in public, this event will show you individuals that took the challenge head on, and earned the right to represent their club.
Do yourself a favour, and treat yourself to the best entertainment $5 can buy. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 7pm.
