Months ago, Hydro Quebec contributed public funds to private schools. Both schools, returned the funds.

It has been brought to my attention, that a donation of “$2,000” was made by Pierrefonds, to a private school.

Months ago there was an ethics problem, when Conservative MPs made mock ups of cheques for community organizations, as if the funds had come from the Conservatives, and not taxpayers.
If the “$2,000” donation came from Pierrefonds’ taxpayers, why is Mayor Worth also given credit for the donation?
Why would Pierrefonds make a donation to a private school (where not all the students are from Pierrefonds), when there are students in Pierrefonds’ public schools, that do not have money to purchase lunch?
When does the school intend to return the donation in full to Pierrefonds, plus previous donations (if any)?
Should Pierrefonds’ taxpayers pay greater attention to what is going on at borough hall?
I have asked Mayor Worth to ban Le Tour de l’Ile de Montreal from the streets of Pierrefonds, until the 40,000+ participants of Velo QC events are invited to raise $$ for humanitarian causes. This is in the interest of all! It is done in thousands of similar events, but not Velo Quebec’s, and they will receive over $875,000 in 2010 from Montreal taxpayers!
So far Mayor Worth has yet to follow the lead of six other cities. Why not? The Municipal Affairs Ministry is investigating a potential conflict of interest between Velo Quebec and Mayor Tremblay/Worth’s party and its about time!
